How your submission will be used

The government will use your submission to:

  • form a better view on what Australians think about Digital Identity
  • inform the development of an exposure draft bill on Digital Identity legislation

Who can view your submission

You will have the option to publicly publish your submission. This will help generate public discussion on the issues you raise.

If you do not provide consent for your submission to be published, it will only be viewed by relevant Australian Government officials working on the Digital Identity legislation.

Making an anonymous submission

When making your submission, you can choose not to provide your personal information. This means your submission will be anonymous.

If you do provide your personal information, it enables us to communicate with you on your submission and allows you to receive updates on the consultation process.

Responding to the consultation paper questions

The consultation paper questions aim to seek your feedback on the most important issues involved in developing legislation.

However, you do not have to respond to the questions in the consultation paper. Whether responding via the online form or your own document, you can provide feedback on matters not covered in the consultation paper questions.

What to do if you don’t receive an activation email

If you don’t receive an activation email when registering for the consultation, you should check your spam or junk mail folder.

You may also have typed in your email address incorrectly when registering. You can create a new account if the previous fixes don’t work.

Resetting your password and username

Please follow these steps to reset your consultation registration password and/or username:

  • Step 1: Click the ‘login’ link on the top right of the screen.
  • Step 2: Click the ‘forgotten password’ link under the ‘sign in’ button.
  • Step 3: Type in your email address and click enter. You will then receive an email from us, Have Your Say Digital Transformation Agency notifications@engagementhq.com, with your username and a link back to the consultation site.
  • Step 4: Click on the link in the email to reset your password.
